Moult /məʊlt/

I learnt something new today about life cycle of an animal.

Moult /məʊlt/: shed old feathers, hair, or skin to make way for a new growth.

This was from this morning dive. When I saw it, I thought something had eaten this poor crayfish and left it there....
Then Ian Campbell told me this crustacean is moulting and this is part of its life cycle. Wiuhh... no one gets hurt 🙂 happy now.

Dive site: Norah Head, Central Coast, NSW Australia

Depth: 5-8m

Type of diving: Shore Dive

Navigation: We walked in through boat ramp and did surface swim towards the buoy. Descend there then follow reef on the right going out, reef on the left going back.

I went with my buddy. I can take you there or Snorkel & Dive Safari Swansea organise social dive there from time to time.
